Taba is called a town but there really is no centre as such and actually spreads down the coast up to 30km. Some hotels just out of Nuweiba call themselves Taba Hotels and these include the new Holiday Inn and the Raddison, then further north you have From Taba Heights it’s about 15km to the last hotel, the Hilton, from where it is possible to walk from reception and be at the Israeli border in less than 5 minutes – great for a day shopping in Eilat’s shopping malls. Most of the hotels up this end of the coast line are those of the international chains but if you want a bit of individuality there is one jewel in Taba’s crown which is Egypt’s only ‘boutique hotel’, the Tobya Boutique Hotel located not far from the Hilton.
