Located right at the border of Egypt and Israel Taba is in a unique position of being able to observe four countries from one point. You can stand on the beach in Egypt and to your left see Israel, across to Jordan and down to Saudi. The coast line here is stunning, the vivid red of the mountains contrasting with the cobalt blue of the sea lying against the backdrop of Jordan’s own dramatic coastline.

Taba is called a town but there really is no centre as such and actually spreads down the coast up to 30km. From Taba Heights it’s about 15km to the last hotel, the Hilton, from where it is possible to walk from reception and be at the Israeli border in less than 5 minutes – great for a day shopping in Eilat’s shopping malls.
